History:


2002: Director Wayne Winder was charged with sexually abusing a student as well as misdemeanor child abuse.

2003: Winder was banned from having one-on-one contact with any of the children at Majestic Ranch Academy.

2005: Several former staff members reported abuse at the facility.

April 2005: The parents of a former student filed a lawsuit against Majestic Ranch Academy alleging physical and emotional abuse.

Noteworthy:


Wayne Winder still works at Majestic Ranch Academy.

Owner Dan Peart is the brother-in-law of Robert Lichfield, founder of WWASPS.

Peart lives directly across the street from the facility.

Information indicates that the children who accused Wayne Winder of sexual abuse were sent to Tranquility Bay.
