Jade Robinson was previously one of the owners of Bell Academy.

Bell Academy was closed in 2003 by California authorities when the owners failed to obtain the licenses required to operate a treatment facility.

During this same time, Robinson was an administrator at Casa by the Sea, located in Ensenada, Mexico.

Casa by the Sea was closed in 2004 by Mexican authorities who found evidence of child abuse.
