History:


2002/2003: Costa Rican authorities began an investigation into Dundee Ranch Academy.

May 2003: Child welfare officials raided the facility and ordered it closed. Owner Narvin Lichfield was arrested.

November 2003: Lichfield admitted that he donated $10,000 to the President of Costa Rica after the closure of Dundee Ranch Academy and asked the Costa Rican president for help.

Noteworthy:


Owner Narvin Lichfield is the brother of Robert Lichfield, founder of WWASPS.

Former Director Joe Atkin is the son of J. Ralph Atkin, also a founder of WWASPS, owner of Morava Academy, and owner/founder of SkyWest Airlines.

J. Ralph Atkin is also the registered agent for many of the facilities and companies associated with WWASPS and has acted as Narvin Lichfield's attorney.
