History:

1998: Brightway Adolescent Hospital closed after state officials investigated suspected child abuse and found that all of the patient care plans were identical.

Brightway had been a staging point for teens who were later sent to Tranquility Bay and Paradise Cove.

Noteworthy:

WWASPS President Key Kay was hospital administrator when Brightway closed.

His son, Jay Kay, was the previous administrator.

Jay Kay left the position to run Tranquility Bay.
